UPDATE: 120 schools and climbing…

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Five days after launching, Wiggio now has members at over 120 colleges and multiple high schools.  The following are just some examples of the groups we see forming on Wiggio:

COLLEGE: clubs (everything from entrepreneurship associations, honor societies and political groups to belly dancing clubs and homecoming committees), academic project groups, TA sections, dorm floors (RAs make the groups), acapella groups, student governments, social cliques, intramural sports teams, fraternities/sororities.

OUTSIDE COLLEGE: charities/non-profit groups, religious committees, parents of students and PTAs, youth sport leagues, groups planning an event, high school groups (class projects, sports teams, extracurricular clubs).

Thanks for the suggestions that we’ve been receiving at feedback@wiggio.com, and please keep the great ideas coming!

Wiggio Launch! (sorry for slow load times — we’re fixing now)

Monday, September 15th, 2008

Wiggio officially launched today, and we were very fortunate to get some great press coverage about the site.  Due to heavy traffic, we are now experiencing very slow load times, and we apologize for any inconvenience.  We are in the process of putting some fixes in place which will get load time up to its normal, consistent state.  Please bear with us, as this should be fixed by this afternoon.

Feel free check out Wiggio in the news:

Wiggio 1.0… nearly complete!

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Just a heads up– we have been working all summer on adding to the Wiggio functionality and improving the UI and overall site usabilty.  Up until now, we have kept these major changes internal, and have been testing like crazy to work out the kinks and continue to improve the site.  Very shortly, we will be syncing all the new changes to the live site (www.wiggio.com).

Thank you to all our testers who have been hammering away on the site this summer..  When we release the real Wiggio 1.0 this week, we encourage you to continue sending your detailed feedback and suggestions to feedback@wiggio.com– we take your comments very seriously, and really appreciate your insights.

Keep an eye out for the sync, and we hope you like what you see…
